Meet My Super King...and the rest of my house.

I still don't know for sure what bed I have. I know that Tweedies, the local furniture store is awesome and brought me two mattresses to test out and luckily the 5x6 foot one fit this funky frame best - there's still a bit of a gap on the side but totally manageable. But, I got a new mattress cover that fits perfectly and it's a "Super King" which I think is a bit like a U.S. Queen size. This bed now is harder than the one I had (which is in the guest room) but it's definitely doable. In a few months' time, maybe I'll invest in a really good quality mattress for myself but for now after everything is said and done, I don't want to assemble, move or make any beds for a while!

Only one side table fits because if I center the bed on the wall, it's impossible to open the door to get in.

So matching side table is relegated to opposite wall and is right now holding my homeless jewelry as I've not found the right thing to hold all the rings, etc. I would like to change the curtains and I'd really like to have a chair that fits in that corner for when Abby comes - so she can watch the neighborhood cats out the window.

Guest bed (my original comfy bed) - newly made up with what i hope are luxurious linens. I'd want to be my house-guest!!! This picture doesn't show, however, the multiple mobile clothes' storage units around every side of every wall.

Living room, this is where I spend the most time. I'm usually in that brown chair (as I am right now) on the laptop or having a cup of tea. I'll sit on the sofa when watching TV sometimes. It's not big enough to stretch out on, which is a bummer because I always liked doing that at home (at Mom's). The door is down to the cellar. I only put my suitcases in there.

My itty bitty TV which is just fine. I'm hoping what you don't see when you first look at this picture is pink carpet! The curtains I brought with me from CA but they don't really work in this window - but they're ok for now.

The kitchen as the cleanest it'll ever be, at least until I get house-cleaners. With all the light, dirt really show so I tried hard to clean it up with a guest coming. Just to the left (outside of the frame) is where I plug in my phones and I also have some photos in frames. I am not sure where I want to put them so there are about 5 framed pics right there. In the distance on the window sill are 4 pictures of Abby (3 on left, 1 on right - on either side of flowers). Miss my girl!

Small! See how the toilet is wedged in between the shower and the counter thing on the left. I constantly kick the tub casing and it comes loose and I have to try to wedge it back in - it's easy to bump into things! But the shower's good so I'm grateful for that!

Here's all of my bathroom storage. The little one on the floor and then the one on the back of the door. The one on the back of the door is like what'd be in a medicine cabinet I guess (since I don't have one or any built in storage). Only downside is this prevents the door from opening all the way, so I seem to bump into the door whenever I come into the bathroom.

Sorry it's blurry, this is from the door (and that's as far as the door opens - see previous caption).

Despite getting storage units and things, this still seems to end up the junk room. It's the office area but I just don't spend much time in there. I walk in through the front door and keep looking straight ahead (if I turn to the right I see this mess). Also I keep the curtains shut most of the time like a recluse...I'm worried a would-be burglar could easily see in at the electronics and laptops that are in there. I need net curtains but don't know how to put them up, and I just keep pushing it down on the priority list.
