Emus and kangaroos cannot walk backwards (I love the Diet Peach Snapple; if you have never read the cap on one, I'm sorry for all the trivial facts you are missing out on).
All is well in sunny Redondo Beach and in flux. Homes, careers, school, choices of accessories to wear on any given day...many of these are up in the air and changeable each day.
Rich and I are season ticket holders to
Los Angeles Galaxy as I have mentioned before. We went to our first match last Sunday and had a good time; Galaxy beat Real Salt Lake, as in "Ree-ALL" Salt Lake (a la Beckham's Real Madrid) 3-2. We didn't get hit by any balls, though I did have a couple flying balls at my face (
insert joke here). I managed to deflect one like a pro after which the match was much more exciting for us not knowing if we'd be battered by more flying (soccer) balls.
Rich's condo is going through so he'll be moving next weekend. His mom's in town this week coincidentally so is helping him pack. Tonight Rich and his mom are driving down here to have dinner with my mother and I. Yes, the mothers are meeting (no announcements are pending, it's just good timing for them to meet tonight).
And here's what you've all been waiting for, my summer TV thoughts:
- Pirate Master is a joke, a bad, bad joke. Hate it. Awful.
- Top Chef and Hell's Kitchen - enjoy both of them, Top Chef for the dishes and cooking, Hell's Kitchen for non stop verbal abuse (what's up with Aaron, the casting director must've thought he'd be pitiful and make for great TV - how right she was!
- Entourage - (shrugging shoulders), not all that any more.
- Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D List - this chick cracks me up though it was touching when her father passed in this week's episode.
- Intervention - I'd like it more if they all ended happily (and I knew that when sitting down to watch)
- Big Love - never look forward to watching it but am always totally into it once I start.
- Rescue Me - man oh man is this show AWESOME!
- Forensic Files - record every one and have a Forensic Files marathon Friday evenings - fascinating!
- The Daily Show with Jon Stewart - a winner no matter what season!
Not sure if I'm looking forward to Big Brother...I really enjoyed the all stars last season though!
